WHY HOLINESS?

IT'S NOT OPTIONAL: IT'S REQUIRED

Dr. Black passionately explores why holiness is not just a lofty ideal but a necessary pursuit for every follower of Christ. He lays out the rewards of a life set apart for God, including peace, joy, and a deeper connection to the divine. At the same time, he warns of the perils that await those who reject the call to holiness, highlighting how neglecting this essential aspect of Christian life can lead to spiritual stagnation and a weakening of faith.

Why Holiness

GRIEVING WITH HOPE

A TIME TO MOURN

One of life’s most difficult experiences is the death of a parent, a spouse, a child, a close friend, or someone you love. Nothing is more shocking, emotional, or final. You struggle with the facts that you’ve had your last meeting, your last conversation, your last everything.

Your mind reels with many emotions, thoughts, and feelings, inundated with things you wish you had said or done. Your warehouse of remembrances is filled with fond and painful memories as you grasp to hold on to those treasured collections of fading snapshots in your mind. You are not ready to say goodbye or encounter the grief that’s overwhelmed you.

This book, Grieving With Hope A Time to Mourn, is written to help you make sense of what seems to make no sense and give you hope as you experience the darkness of death.

THE ECHOES OF HEROES

In the hallowed halls of military history, heroes are born on the battlefield, their valor echoing through the ages. But what happens when these courageous men and women, who have faced the fiercest of adversaries, find themselves in a new battle—one against an insidious enemy called cancer?

"The Echoes of Heroes" is a profound and inspiring narrative that speaks directly to military personnel who have endured the trials of war and now face the daunting challenge of cancer. This moving memoir captures the essence of resilience, camaraderie, and unwavering determination, providing invaluable insight and support for those who have traded the battlegrounds for the cancer wards.

As the pages unfold, each cancer survivor pours out the stories of heroism - rejoicing with the survivors and weeping for those who have passed. But all transitioned from fighting for their nations to fighting for their lives. The narrative brims with poignant accounts of strength and vulnerability, of battles fought with bravery, not just on distant shores but within the confines of hospitals and clinics.

PANDEMIC 2020

AN INVITATION TO HOLINESS

Everyone experiences trials, hardships, and some pain; it’s simply a part of life. Often, we find ourselves in seemingly hopeless situations, unable to climb up, get over, or escape our circumstances. The pandemic of 2020 was a profound test for everyone—men, women, boys, and girls—regardless of whether they acknowledged it. Many of us felt disturbed and uncomfortable, surrounded by overwhelming societal injustices. We navigated deep, dark valleys marked by food shortages, unemployment, and the loss of loved ones, which filled us with fear and apprehension.

What most of us did not realize was that God intended these events to purify us, not punish us. He allowed these difficulties because He wanted to get our attention, create a new awareness of understanding, and foster a closer relationship with Him. Every experience was meaningful, helping to strengthen and empower us to grow spiritually and develop godly characters as he extended an invitation to holiness.

This book, Pandemic 2020: An Invitation to Holiness, accurately expresses how God uses the pandemic to call His people to awaken from their lukewarm, half-hearted lives and to repent, realign, and return to Him.

REDEMPTION

A TALE OF TWO GARDENS

The book shows, Biblically, how the Tale of Two Gardens took place within four covenant gardens. At the beginning of creation, human history began in a garden (Genesis 2:8), and when the first Adam sinned against God in this garden, death entered the world (Genesis 3:6).

Thousands of years later, Jesus Christ, the second Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45), entered another garden to accept the cup from His Father’s hand and affirmed His commitment to carry out the plan of redemption (Matthew 26:42; Mark 14:36; Luke 22:42). Then, in a garden near the crucifixion, they laid the dead body of Jesus in a new tomb, which, He rose from, and gloriously conquered death (John 19:41-42; 20:15). Finally, at the culmination of all things, the redeemed of the Lord will reign eternally with God in the garden city, New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:1-22:7).

From one garden to another, we saw God’s redemptive plan unveiled. We witnessed the flaming sword guarding the entrance to Eden, watched the agonizing drama unfold in Gethsemane, observed the empty burial tomb, and beheld the Holy City in all its splendor. May we never forget the depth of love, the sacrifice demanded, and the ransom paid for our redemption.

It is my sincerest hope that this book provided you the answers in your search for restoration and reconciliation in Christ and increased your understanding so that you found redemption for yourself.
